Sewer and Stormwater Manhole construction

Section 10 of NZS 4452 sets out alternative acceptable solutions for the construction of manholes.

Note: These requirements, previously used by most territorial authorities, may now exceed the performance criteria of NZBC El and G13.

Shape: Manholes may be circular, square or rectangular in plan. Manholes that are circular in plan should have a minimum internal diameter of 1050 mm.

Foundations ready for underslab drainage

I intended to post several stages before this one but I suppose the holidays distracted me :), anyway here the latest pictures on our beach side plumbing project.

As you can see the builders have been working very hard. In several areas the footings are down to one meter! This requirement was based on the GEOTECH results of the soil. To the right you can see our flash site toilet, its great not having to put up with a porta-loo!
